Book Review

This book is an excellent guide for “Learning How to Learn” in medicine. It gives great methods and examples of many of the techniques successful physicians use. We all can get stuck in a rut when it comes to complex problems and this book teaches us how to get out of those ruts and to expand our differentials and avoid bias by looking into the thought processes. It is medicine’s succinct version of “Thought as a System” by David Bohm explaining how thought becomes action and subsequent results. Therefore, if we improve the way we think and learn, we can optimize our ability to practice medicine. I would recommend it to anyone interested in medical academia.
